Richmond Mourns Passing of Frank Pajackowski

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond athletic department mourns the passing of Richmond Athletics Hall of Fame inductee Frank Pajackowski. Pajackowksi, 78, passed away Thursday morning after a long illness.
Pajaczkowski, a 1956 Richmond graduate, was an outstanding running back and top point scorer for the track team during the mid 1950's. In 1955, Pajackowski was named first team All-State and All-Southern conference fullback after being named All-State as a junior.
Pajackowski also excelled in track, setting records in both the outdoor and indoor long jump during his career. Pajackowski was first in the 1954 Big Six meet indoors and placed second in the Southern Conference meet that same year.
Following his standout career for Richmond, Pajackowski was drafted in the fourth rond of the NFL Draft by the San Fransicsco 49ers. In 1986, Pajackowski was inducted in to the Richmond Athletic Hall of Fame.
