Daniel Walker Named A-10 Golfer Of The Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - University of Richmond senior golfer Daniel Walker was named the Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Week on Wednesday, the conference office announced. The honor is the first this season for Walker and the second of his career.
Walker had one of the finest rounds in program history on Tuesday at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, carding a final round 65 (-6) to end the tournament in third place with a total of 216 (+4). Walker ended the tournament with rounds of 74-77-65.
The 65 (-6) tied the school record for lowest number of strokes in a round, while the 6-under is tied for the second lowest total in Richmond history. The top-10 finish is the fourth this season for Walker and the 14th of his illustrious Spider career.
Walker and the Richmond Spiders men's golf team will be back on the course on March 24-26 when the team heads to Williamsburg to play in the C&F Bank Intercollegiate.
