Richmond Tied For Second At CAA Championship

SOUTHPORT, N.C. – The University of Richmond Spiders women's golf team continued play at the CAA Championship on Saturday, shooting a second round team score of 313 (+25) to end the day in a tie for second with a two-round total of 630 (+54). James Madison leads the nine-team championship with a score of 619 (+43).
Tracy Martin continues to lead the way for the Spiders at the conference championship, as the senior enters the final round in fifth place with a score of 155 (+11). After shooting a first round score of 74 (+2), Martin carded a second round 81 (+9) on Saturday.
Classmate Courtney Rousse made the biggest move for Richmond, cutting five strokes of her first round total to shoot a 76 (+4) in the second. Rousse sits in a tie for sixth place with a 36-hole score of 157 (+13).
Just two strokes behind Rousse in a tie for ninth place is Eliza Breed. The sophomore carded a second round 79 (+7) to finish the first two rounds with a 159 (+15).
Junior Lauren Conder also had a good day on Saturday for the Spiders, shooting a 78 (+6) to sit in a tie for 12th place with a score of 160 (+16). Senior Caroline Lovette is tied for 21st place with a total of 162 (+18).
