
Martin Paces Richmond Wo Men's Golf At UNCW Classic

WALLACE, N.C. – The University of Richmond Spiders women's golf team finished the UNCW Seahawk Classic on Sunday, placing ninth overall with a three-round total of 942 (+78). Old Dominion won the 14-team tournament with a score of 917 (+53).
Headlining the Spiders' effort at the event was senior Tracy Martin, who carded a 225 (+9) to earn her sixth top-10 of the season, tying for seventh place. On the weekend, Martin carded rounds of 78-72-75, extending her impressive streak of earning at least a top-20 finish to nine-straight tournaments.
Senior Courtney Rousse had her best round of the tournament on Sunday, shooting a 76 (+4) to finish the event in a tie for 25th with a total of 234 (+18).
Classmate Caroline Lovette tied for 29th place with a score of 239 (+23), while sophomore Eliza Breed came in 58th with a total of 250 (+34).
The Richmond Spiders women's golf team will be back on the course April 19-21 to compete for a conference title at the CAA Championship to be played at the St. James Plantation Reserve Course in Southport, North Carolina.
