Richmond's Walker Tied For Fourth At NCAA Regional

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – University of Richmond Spiders senior men's golfer Daniel Walker continued his fantastic play at the NCAA Regional in Tallahassee, Florida on Friday.
After carding an opening round score of 68 (-4), Walker shot a second-round total of 67 (-5) on Friday to move in to a tie for fourth place overall with a score of 135 (-9).
“Daniel played an outstanding round of golf today,” Richmond head coach Adam Decker said. “He saved pars at crucial points in the round to keep the momentum going. He is being patient and making smart decisions. If he can continue to give himself opportunities to make birdie, he is rolling the ball really well.”
Walker was outstanding on the day, posting five birdies with no bogeys. Walker was -3 on the front-nine before posting a -2 on the back. Through two rounds, Walker now has nine birdies, one eagle and just two bogeys.
