ATLANTA, Ga. – University of Richmond Spiders men's golfer Daniel Walker concluded his terrific senior season at the 2013 NCAA Division I Championship on Thursday, carding a third and final round score of 71 (+1) to end the tournament in a tie for 93rd place with a total of 216 (+6).
“I am extremely proud of the way Daniel represented the University of Richmond,” head coach Adam Decker said following the round. “It's very difficult to make it as far as he did as an individual competitor. Daniel played with lots of heart and never gave up. In fact he chipped in for birdie on his last hole today. A really cool way to finish off his Spider golf career.”
After shooting a 37 (+2) on the front nine, Walker responded well on the back, carding a 34 (-1). Walker bookended his back nine with birdies on No. 10 and No. 18, as well as on No. 12.
