Richmond's Daniel Walker Selected For NCAA Regional

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After enjoying a fantastic season for the University of Richmond Spiders men's golf team, senior Daniel Walker was selected for an at-large individual spot in the NCAA Regionals.
Walker will play in the Florida State Regional, to be played at the Golden Eagle Golf and Country Club, on May 16-18 in Tallahassee, Fla.
“I'm really proud of Daniel,” Richmond head coach Adam Decker said. “He had a fantastic senior year and is very deserving of this selection. He has a lot of talent and is more than capable of being a contender in the regional tournament and beyond. What makes Daniel's accomplishment even more outstanding is that he did it while earning a 4.0 this semester. He's certainly a true student-athlete.”
An Atlantic 10 All-Conference selection, Walker was terrific all season for the Spiders. Walker posted the fifth-best single-season scoring average in school history – 72.90 – while posting five top-10 finishes on the year.
