
Martin Earns VaSID First Team Honors

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Senior Tracy Martin earned first team honors as announced by the Virginia Sports Information Directors.
“I am very proud of Tracy and her accomplishments this year,” said head women's golf coach Maggie Will. “She had a fantastic year. What an honor for her to be named to the first team!”
Martin finished her career as a Spider with a stellar senior campaign that included All-CAA First team honors and at least a top-20 finish in all 10 events she competed in this season. Additionally, Martin finished the season with seven top-10's and an individual title at the Wendy's Invitational. Martin posted a school-record scoring average of 75.04, shattering the previous mark.
Richmond registered one its more impressive seasons in recent memory, winning two tournaments for the first time in school history with titles at the Wendy's Invitational and Pinehurst Challenge. The Spiders also had seven top-six finishes and finished no lower than 11th in any of their 10 tournaments on the season.
