Austin, Walker Repeat As All-American Scholars

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond seniors Nick Austin and Daniel Walker both earned their second-straight selection as Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships and have a stroke-average under 76.0, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
Austin, a two-time All-Atlantic 10 selection, played in all nine tournaments as a senior, with a 74.63 scoring average and one top-10 finish. He tied for first at the 2011 Atlantic 10 Championship.
Walker, also a two-time All-Atlantic 10 selection, was a PING All-East Region pick after advancing to the NCAA National Championship due to his second-place finish at the NCAA East Regional. Walker's 73.45 scoring average is the second-best in school history and his 72.26 scoring average as a senior set the school record.
