Spiders Sail Off To Battle In Pirate Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Richmond women's golf team will travel down to East Carolina this week for the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate at the Greenville Country Club.
First- and second-round action will take place on Monday, October 13, beginning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The third and final round will begin on Tuesday, October 14 at 8:30 a.m.
The tournament will feature 18 teams from around the region including Appalachian State, East Carolina, Elon, Gardner-Webb, Georgia Regents-Augusta, Georgia State, High Point, JMU, Kennesaw State, Longwood, Marshall, Middle Tennessee State, Old Dominion, Radford, Western Kentucky, William & Mary and Winthrop.
The Spiders are coming off a strong showing at the Navy Invitational back in September. UR finished sixth out of 15 teams, led by Jessica Lydia's fifth-place individual performance.
Lydia shot 16-over par for the tournament, while senior Sara Diaz shot 19-over par.
