Men's Golf Heads To Atlanta For Collegiate Classic

ATLANTA - The Richmond men's golf squad travels down to Atlanta, Ga., this weekend for the AutoTrader.com Collegiate Classic, hosted by Georgia State.
12 teams will compete at the Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Ga. Richmond joins the host Panthers along with Chattanooga, Mercer, Davidson, UNC Greensboro, Troy, South Alabama, VCU, College of Charleston, Francis Marion and Samford.
First-round action begins early Monday morning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The second round will commence right after lunch at 1 p.m. The final round tees off at 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning with tee times starting from holes one and 10.
Richmond returns to action after placing ninth at the VCU Shootout back in September at nearby Hermitage Country Club. Freshman Matthew Lowe earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors after he shot seven-over-par (223). His three-day score was second-best on the team and ranked 19th overall, giving him his first top 20 finish as a Spider.
Senior Danny Pizetoski led the Spiders with a three-over par performance, placing 12th.
