
Spiders Ready To Take On Kiawah

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - The Richmond men's golf team will conclude its fall season with a trip down to famed Kiawah Island to play the Turtle Point Course in Charleston Southern's Wendy's Kiawah Classic.
Play begins on Sunday, Nov. 2 and extend through Tuesday's third round. Each day's round will begin at 8 a.m.
The par-72, 7,100-yard course was rated 48th on Golf Digest's Top 100 Public Golf Courses. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the course features narrow fairways, small greens and varying winds off the South Carolina shore.
The Spiders will do battle with host Charleston Southern, Appalachian State, Bethune-Cookman, Coastal Carolina, Creighton, Gardner-Webb, George Washington, Georgia Southern, GRU Augusta, High Point, Jacksonville State, Marquette, Missouri, Presbyterian, Radford, USC Upstate, Temple, Western Kentucky and Winthrop.
In their last time out, the Spiders finished ninth in the rain-shortened Collegiate Classic in Atlanta. Sophomore Mark Reilly led the team with a career-best performance, shooting E through two rounds.
