MANAKIN-SABOT, Va. – Richmond gave Atlantic 10 favorite VCU a scare Sunday at Kinloch Golf Club, before being edged 4-3 in match play at the third annual Black & Blue Cup.

Richmond senior Jack Wilkes defeated VCU's Matt Ball Jr. 2-and-1 and Spider junior Danny Pizetoski took down Adam Ball 1-up, giving the UR a win over the Rams' top-two players.

Spider junior Austin Romeo defeated Gino Vandenberg 2-up.

The match was the Spiders last tune-up before the 2014 Atlantic 10 Championship, which will be played April 25-27 at TPC Tampa Bay.
