SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – Richmond junior Danny Pizetoski shot a 5-over 77 in Friday's second round and is tied for 37th out of 74 players at the NCAA Rich Harvest Farms Regional.
Pizetoski sits at 11-over-par 155 entering Saturday's final round of the 54-hole tournament. Pizetoski tees off at 1:53 p.m. ET. Live scoring through golfstat is available at this link.
The Davidson, N.C. native finished the front nine Friday at even-par and was 1-over with three holes to play under chilly, 40-degree temperatures. He has the second lowest score among the individuals playing the Regional.
Pizetoski received a bid as individual after winning the 2014 Atlantic 10 Championship, his third tournament title of the 2013-14 school year.
This is the second-straight season that Richmond has had an individual earn a spot in the NCAA Regionals. Daniel Walker earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Regional in Tallahassee last spring. Walker tied for second at the Regional, advancing to the NCAA National Championship.
The Rich Harvest Farms Regional is one of six that will be played throughout the country. Thirteen teams and 10 individuals not on those teams will compete in each Regional. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams will advance to the NCAA Men's Golf Championship, May 23-28 at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan.
