Golf Continues At Chesapeake Bay Invitational

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Richmond women's golf team gets right back out on the course this weekend at the Chesapeake Bay Invitational, hosted by Navy at the Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, Md.
The 54-hole tournament will feature 36 holes on Saturday and 18 on Sunday. Play will begin at 8:30 AM each day with shotgun starts. The course plays at 6,085 yards for a par of 72.
Entering their first season playing golf in the Patriot League, the Spiders will get the opportunity to play against conference opponents this weekend, in Navy and Lehigh. Dartmouth, Delaware State, Hofstra, Monmouth, Penn, Quinnipiac, Randolph-Macon, Sacred Heart, Saint Francis, Towson and Wagner will also compete in the Invitational.
Richmond was led by senior Sara Diaz and junior Jessica Lydia last weekend at the Cardinal Cup as both players tied with a three-round score of 243 (+27). Freshman Elsa Diaz was leading UR through two rounds (+12) before needing to withdraw on the final day to illness.
