
Men's Golf Staying Close To Home

MANAKIN-SABOT, Va. – Richmond men's golf will give local fans an opportunity to see the Spiders compete against strong national competition at the Janney VCU Shootout at Hermitage Country Club in Manakin-Sabot, Va.
The par-72 course plays at 6,955 yards. Last season, UR finished fourth out of 12 schools with a three-round total of 873 (+9).
Joining local rivals Richmond and VCU will be George Mason, Francis Marion, Iowa State, Maryland, Old Dominion, UNC Greensboro, Virginia Tech, Radford, JMU, Wichita State and Xavier.
Last weekend, Richmond placed 10th at the Golfweek Conference Challenge in Iowa. Senior Danny Pizetoski and freshman Matthew Lowe led the Spider scoring as they both shot 222 (+6) to tie for 21st overall.
