Lowe Shoots Even Par To Lead Spiders At Kiawah

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - Sophomore Matthew Lowe shot even par to lead the Spiders in the weather-shortened Kiawah Classic at the famed Turtle Point Course on Kiawah Island, S.C.
Lowe finished tied for 19th overall as he shot 71-73=144 (E). It marked his sixth under-par round through four events of the fall. It was also his third top-20 finish.
Senior David Germann shot 74-78=152 (+8) for second on the team, while freshman Ben Wanichek shot 75-80=155 (+11) through two rounds.
Mark Reilly finished at 77-81=158 (+14) and Keegan Hoff was the Spiders' fifth golfer at 82-81=163 (+19).
UR finished 19th as a team in the field that comprised teams all over the southeast.
The Spiders will take a break for the winter holidays before opening the spring competition schedule at the Atlantic 10 Match Play Championship in Weston, Fla.
