Spiders Welcome Three Additions To Athletic Department Staff

RICHMOND, Va.- Richmond Athletics welcomed three new staff members on board in September. Monica Mims joins the Spiders as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, Scott Warner as Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Fan Development and Mark Driscoll as Coordinator of Ticket Operations.
Mims comes to Richmond from Iowa, where she was the Associate Director of Compliance at her alma mater. She was a standout track student-athlete for the Hawkeyes. Monica's career in college athletic administration has included time spent at Arizona State, the NCAA, and the University of Southern California. She has garnered a wide range of experience in compliance issues in her career. She earned a law degree from the University of Iowa.
Warner will oversee marketing and ticket sales strategic initiatives as well as manage game day promotional activities at Richmond. He previously served at UNC Pembroke where he was the Associate AD for External Affairs. He provided leadership for the revenue-generating arm of the department, including sponsorship sales, multimedia rights, student fees, licensing, ticket sales, marketing, branding, and social media communications. His experience also includes extensive time spent in various marketing roles in the Department of Athletics at NC State, where he earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Driscoll. a South Carolina alum, brings a vast array of experience in ticket operations to Richmond, most recently working as Ticket Operations Manager for Talladega Superspeedway for two years. Mark also was the Assistant Box Office manager for the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville, South Carolina. He worked for over a year as the Assistant Box Office manager for the John Paul Jones arena at the University of Virginia. Mark also has experience in minor league baseball with the Mobile Bay Bears as well as working with IMG in game day promotions and marketing. He earned a Masters in Sports Administration from VCU in 2010.
