Diaz, Lydia Lead Spiders At Ocala Invite

DUNNELLON, Fla. - Senior Sara Diaz and junior Jessica Lydia each tied for 30th overall to lead the Spiders in the Ocala Spring Classic hosted by Morehead State at Juliette Falls Golf Resort in Dunnellon, Fla.
Sara Diaz shot 75-78-76=229 (+13) and Lydia shot 74-79-76=229 (+13) as both paced Richmond's 13th-place effort.
Freshman Elsa Diaz shot the best round of the tournament for UR with a -2 (70) on Monday's second round. She finished third on the team with an 82-70-81=233 (+17).
Alicia Reggiannini completed the Spider scoring foursome with a three-day tournament of 80-84-88=252 (+36). Kira Kuhnert shot 83 on Sunday and 84 on Tuesday, but didn't register a score in Monday's round.
As a team, Richmond shot 939 (+75) to finish 13th. The Spiders first two rounds were their best with a pair of 311s.
Richmond will be back in action next week at the William & Mary Invite in Williamsburg, Va.
