Lowe Leads Richmond In Seahawk Intercollegiate Final Round

WILMINGTON, N.C. - Freshman Matthew Lowe shot a one-under 71 on Monday to lead Richmond in the final round of the Seahawk Intercollegiate.
Lowe's score marked a new career-best round for him as his 71 tied for the best round of any competitor on Tuesday. He shot 76-76-71=223 (+7) to place 13th overall, his second top-20 finish of the season.
Sophomore Keegan Hoff shot even par (72) on Monday to finish second on the team with a score of 78-76-72=226 (+10). He tied with David Germann whose second-round 68 on Sunday was the best round of any UR golfer this season. Germann shot 78-68-80=226 (+10).
Austin Romeo was the last scorer for the Spiders as he improved his final round by seven strokes over yesterday, 84-83-76=243 (+27). Mark Reilly shot 88-83-82=253 (+37).
Richmond placed 11th overall in the Invitational with a team score of 316-303-299=918 (+54).
The Spiders will next be in competition at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate on April 11-12 in Kannapolis, N.C.
