Matthew Lowe Earns Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week Accolades

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Freshman Matthew Lowe earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors for his strong finish at the Seahawk Intercollegiate on March 29-30.

Lowe shot a one-under 71 in his final round to finish with a team-best score of 223 (+7). His 71 tied for the best final round of any competitor. He placed 13th overall in the field, his second top-20 finish of his freshman campaign.

The award was the third A-10 Rookie of the Week honor for Lowe this season. On this occasion, he shared it with Brendan Keating of Dayton. SJU's T.J. Summers and VCU's Adam Ball were the A-10 Co-Players of the Week.

Lowe and the Spiders will compete in the Irish Creek Invitational this weekend in Kannapolis, N.C.
