NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Richmond men's golfer David Germann has been named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic team, the conference announced today. He was one of just five players in the conference recognized for academic achievement this season.
A business administration major, Germann helped the Spiders to a second-place finish at this year's Atlantic 10 Championships.
Germann finished in a tie for fifth individually, tying his career-best score at 215 (-1) over three days of competition. He and freshman Matthew Lowe were the only pair of teammates to both shoot under-par for the championship.
A native of Clayton, N.C., Germann posted two top-20 finishes on the season, and ended the year ranked third on the team with a stroke average of 75.64.
