GREENSBORO, N.C. - Richmond men's golf alumnus Brad Miller earned a spot in his first PGA Tour event, teeing off on Thursday afternoon in the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club.
Miller qualified on Monday after shooting an eight-under 63 at the Bermuda Run Country Club, earning one of the four qualifying spots for this weekend's PGA event in North Carolina.
This summer, Miller has played in a number of PGA Canadian Tour events as well as two Web.com Tour tournaments.
A 2012 graduate of the Spider program, Miller was an Atlantic 10 All-Conference selection in his senior season. He was also a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America scholar that season. He is still second all-time in the Spider record books for lowest three-round score of 205 (-8) which he shot at Guyan in 2010.
Miller will be competing at the Wyndham Championship with a field of notable players such as Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Adam Scott, Vijay Singh and Jason Dufner.
