Spiders Place Third In Bulldog Florida Invitational

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Richmond Spiders women's golf turned in another solid tournament, finishing third in the Butler Florida Invitational at Windsor Parke in Jacksonville, Fla.
Freshman Annie Collom led the Spiders in the two-round event. She shot 77-78=155 (+11) to finish fourth overall out of 50 competitors.
Classmate Sophie DiPetrillo also turned in a solid performance, shooting 82-76=158 (+14), placing in a tie for ninth.
Sophomore Elsa Diaz carded the best round for Richmond as she shot a 74 on the second day after going for 85 on day one. She finished +15 to place 11th overall.
Senior Jessica Lydia shot 82-81=163 (+19) and freshman Isabella Rusher shot 85-80=165 (+21) to round out the Spider scoring.
The Spiders next head down to Williamsburg, Va., on March 28-29 to play in the annual William & Mary Intercollegiate.
