Spiders Place Ninth at Kingsmill Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Richmond women's golf saw strong rounds from a number of different athletes en route to a ninth-place finish at the annual Kingsmill Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Va.
Played at the famed River Course at Kingsmill which has hosted numerous PGA and LPGA events, this year's tournament featured 16 teams from up and down the east coast.
Freshmen Isabella Rusher and Sophie DiPetrillo led the way with strong performances on alternating days of play.
Rusher shot a three-under-par 69 in her first round on Monday, while DiPetrillo shot three-over-par 75 today. Rusher finished with a scorecard of 69-77-82=228 (+12) to place seventh overall, her third top-10 finish of her freshman campaign.
DiPetrillo shot 83-79-75=237 (+21) and finished 34th overall.
Sophomore Elsa Diaz went 81-77-84=242 (+26), and freshman Annie Collom scored an 80-85-82=247 (+31).
Senior Jessica Lydia shot 76 in the first round and 81 on Tuesday, despite not playing in the second round due to injury.
Elizabeth Rubino carded the best scores among all of the individual competitors, coming in at 82-81-79=242 (+26), while Tiarra Baskerville (80-83-87=250, +34) and Alicia Reggiannini (82-87-98=267, +51) also competed as individuals.
UR will play in the penultimate tournament of the season at UNCW on April 9-10. The Patriot League championship is on April 23-24 at Bucknell.
