Lowe Tabbed Atlantic 10 Men's Golfer of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Richmond sophomore golfer Matthew Lowe was tabbed as the Atlantic 10 Men's Golfer of the Week.
Lowe was honored for his performances over the last month, including a fifth-place finish at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular on Mar. 13. He shot one-under par for the tournament and carded a 67 (-5) in his second round of play.
That round was just one stroke off his career-best round of 66, set at last year's A-10 Championship. He is now tied for the third- and seventh-best rounds in school history.
More recently, Lowe led the Spiders with a two-round score of +1 at UNCW's Seahawk Intercollegiate. He shot even par and one over in the rain-shortened event on Mar. 20-21.
Lowe is UR's scoring leader this season with a stroke average of 71.53. This marks his fourth career A-10 Weekly Award.
UR competes at N.C. State on April 16-17 before finishing the season at the Atlantic 10 Championships in Florida.
