
Lowe Completes First Round Of NCAA Franklin Regional

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Richmond sophomore Matthew Lowe wrapped up play in the first round of the NCAA Franklin Regional, hosted at the Vanderbilt Legends Club, on Monday afternoon.
Lowe shot 77 (+5) to tie for 60th place overall. He tallied a birdie on the second and 10th holes, but was set back by a pair of double bogeys as well.
A native of Farmingdale, N.Y., Lowe is making his first individual appearance at an NCAA Regional event. He was named All-Atlantic 10 First Team two weeks ago at the A-10 Championships.
He represents the third individual in the last four years from Richmond to go to an NCAA Regional.
Texas' Doug Ghim is the overall leader and is currently at -8 through one round.
