FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Sophomore Matthew Lowe finished with two strong rounds, but ultimately did not advance from the NCAA Franklin Regional held at the Vanderbilt Legends Course this week.
Lowe shot 73 (+1) in his final round of action on Wednesday. He finished with a tournament score of 77-72-73=222 (+6) for three rounds. That put him in 63rd place overall.
On Wednesday, Lowe carded three birdies but also had two bogeys and a double-bogey on his way to a +1 round score.
Lowe finishes the 2015-16 season with a stroke average of 71.91, the best season stroke average in Richmond men's golf history. An All-Atlantic 10 selection, he became the third individual in the last four years to compete in an NCAA Regional competition.
