Spiders Battle Wet Conditions In NCAA Second Round

PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Richmond Spiders battled wet conditions during Friday's second round at the NCAA Stanford Regional at the Stanford University Golf Course.
Freshman Sophie DiPetrillo posted the team's best round of the day, shooting a 75 (+4) with two birdies on her first nine holes. She is now sitting at +11 and tied for 62nd overall.
Yesterday's low scorer, Isabella Rusher, shot a five-over 76 in her second round. After going +5 on her first nine, Rusher rallied to shoot even par on her last nine holes. She still maintains the team's best score individually at +6 to tie for 30th overall.
Sophomore Elsa Diaz responded from a tough first round by shooting 80 (+9) for the team's third-best score.
Freshman Annie Collom shot 81 (+10) and Jessica Lydia finished at 82 (+11) for the second round.
Richmond moved up a spot in the overall standings, entering the final round in 16th place. UR has combined to shoot +50 over two rounds.
UR begins the final round at 9:20 a.m. PT on Saturday morning.
