Matthew Lowe Garners VaSID All-State Honors

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Sophomore men's golfer Matthew Lowe was named to the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-State Second Team on Friday afternoon.
Lowe completed a record-setting season for the Spiders in 2015-16, culminating in an at-large bid to the NCAA Regionals.
A native of Farmingdale, N.Y., Lowe set a new school record for stroke average (71.91) in a single season. He tallied 10 under-par rounds, including a school-record round of 63 (-8).
Lowe earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors and placed seventh in the Atlantic 10 Tournament, helping Richmond to its third consecutive second-place finish.
This marks Lowe's first VaSID honor, compiled among golfers from every Division I school in the state of Virginia.
