
Young Spiders Shine at George Mason Spring Invite

FAIRFAX, Va. – The Spider youth was showcased at the George Mason Spring Invitational with all underclassmen taking the track on Saturday afternoon, including a trio of freshmen.
Freshman Morgan Towe was challenged by one of the most talented fields she has faced and finished 25th in the 100m Dash with a time of 12.69 seconds and 24th in the 200m Dash (26.03) to complete her day.
Freshman Gabby Bowen continued the quality day for the Spider newcomers by posting a 1:01.63 in the 400m to claim the top spot among Richmond finishers (44th). Sophomore Chloe Smith followed in 1:03.17.
Freshman Peyton McGovern rolled out a 4:43.01 mark in the 1500m as the top Spider finisher in an event that boasted 66 competitors. Madeline Ustanik came across in 4:54.58.
