
Hoff Named to VCGCA All-State Team

BLACKSBURG, Va. – University of Richmond golfer Keegan Hoff continues to rack up accolades following his incredible senior season. On Tuesday afternoon, the Charlotte, N.C. native was chosen to the Virginia Collegiate Golf Coaches Association, All-State Second Team alongside nine other golfers from around The Commonwealth.
Hoff was named the Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Year after posting 10 rounds south of par to go with a 72.36 stroke average for the season. He posted five top 10 finishes and captured one title en route to guiding the Spiders to their first-ever Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Championship. His lone title came at the Ft. Lauderdale Intercollegiate where he posted a three-round total of 212, good for four-under par. At the A-10 Championship in Orlando, Fla. he fired a season-low round of 211 (-5) to finish in a tie for fifth overall. The Spiders put four players in the top five to win their first title in dominant fashion.
Virginia head men's golf coach Bowen Sargent has been named Coach of the Year by the Virginia State Golf Coaches Association. The All-State first team consists of Derek Bard (Virginia), Ryan Cole (James Madison), Mark Lawrence, Jr. (Virginia Tech), Jimmy Stanger (Virginia), and Thomas Walsh (Virginia). The All-State second team, in addition to Hoff, consists of Mickey DeMorat (Liberty), Isaiah Logue (Liberty), Sarit Suwannarut (Virginia Tech), and Danny Walker (Virginia).
