
Men's Golf Announces 2017-18 Schedule

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - University of Richmond head men's golf coach Adam Decker announced on Thursday the full set of matches for the 2017-18 season as the Spiders get set to begin the defense of their first-ever Atlantic 10 Championship.
The season will begin right here in Richmond when the Spiders travel to the nearby CCV-Creek Course for the VCU Shootout, hosted by the rival Rams Sept. 18-19. From there the Spiders will take part in three October events beginning with the Firestone Invitational (Oct. 2-3) in Akron, Ohio, continuing with the AutoTrader Intercollegiate (Oct. 16-17) in Duluth, Ga. and concluding with the Steelwood Intercollegiate (Oct. 30-31) in Loxley, Ala.Â
The spring season will begin with the Mobile Intercollegiate (Feb. 12-13) in Mobile, Ala. before the Spiders head back to Georgia for The Schenkel (Mar. 16-17) as first of two March events. The Seahawk Intercollegiate, hosted by UNCW, will take place March 25-26.
In April, Richmond will trek to Cary, N.C. for the Stitch Intercollegiate (April 13-15) at MacGregor Downs as the final tune-up for the Atlantic 10 Championship (April 27-29) at Grand Crypress where the event will shift to the North & South Course after the Spiders took the title at the New Course last year.Â
