Men's Cross Country Races Well at A-10 Championship

The University of Richmond men's cross country team had a solid finish Saturday at the 2018 Atlantic 10 Conference Championships, beating pre-season expectations of an 11th place spot with an 8th place finish at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville.

The top five finishers for the Spiders were led by junior Miles Clikeman who claimed the 11th spot with a time of 25:10.7. He was followed by senior Johnny Hogue (25:35.6) in 22nd, freshmen Patrick Sutphin (25:45.7) in 40th, Trey Burleson (25:50.3) in 43rdand Peter Borger (25:50.5) in 45th. Clikeman earned All-Atlantic 10 honors for his efforts Saturday.Â

The men's finish notches another A-10 season for the men and while the A-10 championship may be over, the cross country season isn't done yet. The Spiders will again take to the courses at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships in Rock Hill, S.C. on November 9th.Â
