DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Career performances from a pair of golfers paced the Richmond Spiders to a combined score of 17-over par (593) in the first two rounds of the River Run Collegiate at Blue Hill Country Club in Davidson, N.C. on Monday. Senior Ben Wanichek fired back-to-back rounds of even-par 72 on Monday and is tied for 11th at 144 (E), the lowest 36-hole total of his Spiders career. Baker, who is tied for 13th, recorded the best finish of his collegiate career with a tie for 40th at last year's VCU Janney Shootout.Â
A pair of Spiders making their collegiate debuts, freshmen Jordan Secret and Michael Childress, are both tied for 59th at 13-over par (157).
The third and final round will begin at 8:00 AM Tuesday.Â
