Cross Country Competes at NCAA Southeast Regional

EARLYSVILLE, Va. – Richmond cross country took the course in the NCAA Southeast Regional Friday morning at Panorama Farms outside of Charlottesville. The Spiders turned in an 18th-place finish in a 34-team field on the women's side, while the men finished 22nd overall in the 35-team men's field.
The women were paced by sophomore Johanna Lupica (Richmond, Va.). Lupica finished in 74th with a time of 21:50.1 in the 6k race, setting a new personal record. Senior Claire Brown (Erie, Pa.) finished in 97th with a 22:12.1 time. Senior Ave Grosenheider (Madison, Wis.) claimed the 104th spot with a time of 22:16.2.
Finishing 115th was freshman Lily Snow (Richmond, Va.) with a time of 22:24.9, a new personal best. Another rookie in Anna George (Montville, N.J.J was 127th after turning in a time of 22:30.2, a personal record. Junior Caroline Robelen (Glen Allen, Va.) was 147th with a personal-best time of 22:49.7, and Kate Dickow (Litltz, Pa.) was the last Spider in with a time of 23:16.8 in 186th.
On the men's side, senior Miles Clikeman (North Chesterfield, Va.) closed his senior season in 57th with a time of 31:23.5. Sophomore Peter Borger (Malvern, Pa.) was 100th in the race with a personal-best time of 32:11.3 in the 10k race. Noah Campbell added a 148th-place finish at 33:11.0, a personal record.
The final two Spiders competing in Friday's race were junior Trey Burleson (Moseley, Va.) at 161st, in 33:23.8 and sophomore James Flanagan (Danville, Calif.) adding a 170th finish at 33:37.0.
