Richmond Athletics Announces Expanded Partnership With The Aspire Group
06/26/2019 | General
RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond athletic department has expanded its multi-year partnership with The Aspire Sport Marketing Group. This summer, Aspire will open a dedicated on-site Fan Relationship Management Center (FRMC) located on Richmond's campus within the athletic ticket office.
The on-site FRMC will be full service and responsible for selling the Spiders' complete ticketing menu of offerings for football and basketball including seasons, mini-plans, group tickets and single game tickets. The primary focus of the FRMC will be new group and season ticket sales, while Richmond continues to service tenured season ticket holders and Spider Club members. The FRMC will be managed by Nick Meeson, who is no stranger to the Richmond sports landscape, having spent the most recent half of his ticket sales and service career working at the Richmond Raceway.
"Our partnership with The Aspire Group has already been very beneficial to Richmond athletics," Vice President and Director of Athletics John Hardt said. "This expanded agreement is the natural progression in the partnership and we are excited to now have Aspire on campus interacting directly with our great Spider fans."
Prior to the creation of the on-site FRMC, The Aspire Group has been successfully selling and supporting ticketing services through their National Sales Center for the past two years.
"Richmond Athletics is a special place, with proud alumni and a passionate fan base who appreciates excellent customer service," Bill Fagan, Aspire's Chief Operating Officer. "Our experience over the last couple of years has prepared us for this time as we shift our operation on campus, lead by an experienced professional who knows the market. We will continue to serve as a 'next-practice think-tank' for Richmond Athletics. The key difference now, is that we will have boots on the ground engaging with fans in the community and at home Spider Athletic events. It's the natural evolution of the fan service relationship."
