RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond men's lacrosse program is finding itself in comfortable territory heading into the 2021 season as the Spiders were ranked No. 18 by US Lacrosse Magazine in its Early 2021 rankings. No. 20-16 rankings were revealed Tuesday with the Spiders coming in ahead of Princeton (No. 20) and Villanova (No. 19).
The Spiders finished the shortened 2020 season nationally ranked with a 4-3 overall record and a 1-0 mark in Southern Conference play. Richmond returns 90 percent of its goal scoring and 98.1 percent of its assists from last season's seven-game schedule.
