Spider Athletics Announces COVID-19 Protocols For Basketball

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond athletics department is excited to welcome back fans to the Robins Center for basketball games this season. The safety of our student-athletes, staff and fans remains our top priority so we can enjoy watching our Spiders in-person this season.
The University of Richmond continues to monitor conditions closely, adjusting COVID-19 protocols as needed to maintain the health and safety of our campus community. In alignment with national, state, local and University COVID-19 protocols, Richmond athletics has adopted the following fan requirements as we start the season, beginning Tuesday, November 9 with the women's basketball game at 3 p.m. and the men's basketball game at 7 p.m. at the Robins Center.

- All fans are required to wear masks while inside the Robins Center (including restrooms) unless actively eating or drinking, regardless of vaccination status.
- To assist you, Spider Athletics will have a limited number of masks at all entrances for fans.
- Please stay home if you are sick or showing symptoms related to COVID-19.
- At this time, proof of vaccination or a negative test will not be required to attend a game at the Robins Center.
- High traffic areas at the Robins Center will be sanitized frequently by Spider staff.
- Hand sanitizers will be located throughout the Robins Center for your convenience.
- All pre-game or post-game events in the Robins Center Terraces or Queally Athletic Center Spider Hall are limited to 100 people.
- Concessions will be operating at full capacity and all employees will be fully masked.
- Doors open 90 minutes prior to tip-off.
- Court access is NOT permitted by any fan at any time.
- Fans must sit in their designated seat.
- Upon conclusion of the game, we ask that fans do not congregate in the Robins Center and exit the facility as soon as possible.
- Court access is not permitted at any time or under any circumstance.
