Terrill Paces Men’s Cross Country at NCAA Southeast Regionals

ANCHORAGE, K.Y. – The University of Richmond men's cross country team finished 17th of 30 teams in the 2021 NCAA Southeast Regional Championships Friday, completing the 10-kilometer course at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.
Two-time Atlantic 10 All-Conference honoree Stuart Terrill (Crozet, Va.) paced the Spiders, finishing with a new career 10K mark of 30:38.5, good for 47th overall.
2021 Atlantic 10 Individual Champion Peter Borger (Malvern, Pa.) finished 52nd with a career-best 10K time of 30:45.6. Borger jumped 48 spots and dropped 1:26 minutes from his 2019 NCAA Southeastern Regional performance (100th, 32:11.3).
Riley Fletcher (East Northport, Va.) and Robert Gunia (Fredericksburg, Va.) crossed the finish line back-to-back with personal-bests for the Spiders. Fletcher finished with a time of 32:32.8, good for 143rd overall while Gunia crossed at 32.36.6, for 144th. Jimmy Quinn (Nutley, N.J.) was just a hair behind Gunia, crossing the finish line with a personal-best mark at 32.37.9 to finish 146th.
Also competing for the Spiders was Noah Campbell (Montpelier, Va.) and Patrick Sutphin (Mechanicsville, Va.). Campbell turned in a time of 32.41.7 while Sutphin crossed the finish line at 33:36.7.
The NCAA Cross Country Championship selection show will air at 5 p.m. Saturday, November 12, on NCAA.com where the final at-large teams and individuals will be announced to compete in the 2021 NCAA Cross Country Championships at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida, Saturday, November 20.
