Kurtz Named to Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond's Laurel Kurtz was named to the 2021 Atlantic 10 Cross Country All-Rookie Team, the league announced Wednesday.
Kurtz, a native of Flemington, N.J., had a strong freshman campaign for the Spiders. At the A-10 Championship, she finished third among Richmond runners with a 5K time of 18:42.9, good for 25th overall.
Kurtz opened the season with a 19th-place finish at the Spider Alumni Open with a time of 11:40.8 before finishing 24th at the JMU Open Invitational 5.2K (21.16.8). She posted a season-best 6K mark of 22:18.0 at the Lehigh Paul Short Run and wrapped up the season with a time of 22:44.9 at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship.
