Richmond Selects Playfly Sports To Manage Multimedia Rights

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond Athletics department announced Thursday a new 10-year exclusive marketing and multimedia rights partnership with Playfly Sports, effective July 1, 2021.
Playfly Sports will focus on creating new value-added opportunities for current and potential corporate partners designed to enhance their brand and align with the Richmond Spiders through traditional and digital media opportunities. Playfly will also manage in-venue and event sponsorships, promotions, corporate hospitality, and deliver unique branding opportunities for sponsor engagement both in-venue, as well as on the Richmond radio network, television, website and other social media platforms. As part of the partnership, Playfly will also make strategic capital investments to improve the overall experience for both the corporate community, as well as the fans.
"As we look to reengage our corporate partners, we needed a forward thinking rights holder that can create excitement and generate new revenue opportunities that will take the Richmond Athletics Corporate Partner program to the next level," said John P. Hardt, Athletic Director, University of Richmond. "Playfly is that partner. We look forward to working with their dynamic and creative leadership team as we reenergize Richmond Athletics and deepen our relationship with the corporate community. The University of Richmond joins fellow commonwealth institutions University of Virginia and Old Dominion University as partners of Playfly Sports.
