JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of Richmond's Brooke Fazio punched her ticket to the 2021 NCAA Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, Saturday night after turning in an amazing performance in the 800m quarterfinals in the NCAA East Prelims at the University of North Florida's Visit Jax Stadium.

Fazio, competing in the fastest NCAA 800m Quarterfinals in history, finished fourth in the first quarterfinal heat and 11^th overall with a personal best and new program record of 2:02.73.

The Basking Ridge, N.J. native becomes the first Spider to head to the NCAA Championship Finals since 2012 when Nicol Traynor competed in the 3000m Steeplechase. Traynor, Heather Roush (Javelin) and Amy VanAlstine (5000m) competed at the NCAA Championship Finals and earned USTFCCCA Second Team All-America accolades in 2011.

The 2021 NCAA Track & Field Championships, hosted by the University of Oregon, is set for June 9-12.
