Fazio Finishes 8th, Collects All-America Honors in 800m at NCAA Championship Final

EUGENE, Ore. – University of Richmond's Brooke Fazio capped off exciting women's track & field season with an eighth-place finish in the 800m final at the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship Finals, at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.
The Basking Ridge, N.J. native collected outdoor track All-America First Team status with a time of 2:02.97. Fazio is also a two-time USTFCCCA indoor track All-America honoree (2020 & 2021).
Fazio joins an exclusive list of Richmond women's track All-Americans. Nicol Traynor (3000m Steeplechase), Heather Roush (Javelin) and Amy VanAlstine (5000m) competed at the NCAA Championship Finals and earned USTFCCCA Second Team All-America accolades in 2011. Jessica Young (400m) earned her All-America honor in 2007, while Josphine White (1500m) collected hers in 1981 and 1983. Deborah Snaggs was the first Spider to earn All-America honors in 1979 in the 5K.
