
Spider Athletics Announces COVID-19 Protocols For Fall Sports

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond athletics department is excited to welcome back fans to home events this fall. The safety of our student-athletes, staff and fans remains our top priority so we can cheer on our Spiders in person this season.
The University of Richmond continues to monitor conditions closely and adjust our COVID-19 protocols as needed to maintain the health and safety of our community. In accordance with national, state, local and University COVID-19 protocols, Richmond Athletics has adopted the following requirements for all athletic venues at the start of the fall sports season. We ask that you please stay home if you are sick or showing symptoms related to COVID-19.
The University of Richmond has developed and implemented a physical distancing framework which provides guidelines that are intended to promote the health of the campus community. To start the 2021-22 fall sports season the University of Richmond will be operating in the lime stage. COVID Health and Safety
- Please stay home if you are sick or showing symptoms related to COVID-19.
Parking & Tailgating
- Lots open 4 hours prior to kick off (for football games at Robins Stadium).
- Tailgating is permitted. Please follow mask guidelines as noted above.
Robins Stadium Sanitation
- All highly used areas at Robins Stadium be sanitized frequently by Spider staff.
- Hand sanitizers will be located throughout Robins Stadium for your convenience.
Ticketing & Entrance Protocols
- Gates open 90 minutes prior to kickoff (for football games at Robins Stadium).
- Field access is NOT permitted by any fan while entering and exiting your seat location.
Seating
- You must sit in your designated seat – no exceptions.
Exiting Robins Stadium
- Upon conclusion of the game, please do not congregate and exit the facility immediately.
- Field access is not permitted under any circumstance.

- If you are unvaccinated, you need to wear a mask OUTDOORS in settings where you are not or cannot maintain physical distance between you and others, especially when in Robins Stadium concourses (near concessions areas).
- If you are fully vaccinated, you do not need to wear a mask OUTDOORS, except in Robins Stadium concourses (near concession areas).
- To assist you, Spider Athletics will have a limited number of masks at all gate entrances for fans.
