Emma Coleman Named Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week

NORFOLK, Va. – Freshman Emma Coleman (Vienna, Va.) was named the Atlantic 10's Co-Rookie of the Week for her performance on the pitch this last week. Coleman, a forward, tallied her first collegiate assist and goal as she helped the Spiders go 1-0-1 on the week. This is her first weekly award from the Atlantic 10 Conference.
Coleman started both matches for the Spiders this past week, playing in 118 minutes. She notched a team-high five shots, three on frame to go with her first goal. She assisted the goal in the match with High Point on Thursday evening as the Spiders finished the non-conference season unbeaten at President's Field.
Others receiving the weekly recognition from the Atlantic 10 were Offensive Player of the Week Grace Hotaling of George Mason, Defensive Player of the Week Mary Grace Bunch of Davidson and Co-Rookie of the Week Hannah Sawyer of Saint Louis.
The Spiders return to President's Field on Sunday as they open Atlantic 10 play against the St. Bonaventure Bonnies at 1 p.m.
