No. 14 Spiders Jump to Highest Ranking Since 2017

Richmond, Va. – The University of Richmond football team jumped to No. 14 in both the American Football Coaches Association and Stats Perform FCS Top 25 polls, announced by the publications Monday. It's the highest ranking for the Spiders since week seven in 2017.
Reece Udinski (North Wales, Pa.) has helped Richmond to this point as he continues to lead the nation in completion percentage at .771 (239-310) as well as completions per game at 29.88. His 2,287 passing yards rank eighth in the country, his yards per game (285.9) and points responsible for (144) rank ninth and his 18.0 points responsible per game rank 10th.
Jasiah Williams (Petersburg, Va.) has been Udinski's primary target in eight games, coming in at fourth in the country with 7.8 receptions per game.
Defensively, the Spiders are second in punt return defense, holding opponents to negative yardage (-0.67) on return attempts while also having the eighth-best scoring defense at 17.4 opponent points per game.
The Spiders have been disciplined throughout the season, ranking second in fewest penalties per game at 3.75.
The No. 14 Spiders welcome #17/21 New Hampshire to Robins Stadium for homecoming presented by Graduate Hotel Richmond Saturday as the teams battle for first place in the Colonial Athletic Association.
