Spiders Check in at No. 11 in This Week's Polls

Richmond, Va. – The University of Richmond football team checked in at No. 11 in both the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 poll and the American Football Coaches Association poll, announced by the publications Monday.
The Spiders head into the final regular-season game with eight wins, the most since 2016 when the team advanced all the way to the NCAA quarterfinals. The team has won five-straight.
Richmond ranks second in the country in completions per game thanks to graduate quarterback Reece Udinski (North Wales, Pa.) who is also second in the category at 0.752 percent. His 29.70 completions per game lead all of NCAA FCS. He is also fifth overall in passing yards (2,875) and passing yards per game (287.5).
While he missed the Delaware game, Jasiah Williams (Petersburg, Va.) is fourth in the country in receptions per game at 7.7.
On the defensive side of the ball, Marlem Louis (Venice, Fla.) ranks 14th in sacks with 6.5 as a member of a defense that ranks ninth nationally in turnover margin (0.80) and scoring defense (18.6).
Richmond's .800 win percentage is 10th overall and the Spiders have won three games against ranked opponents this season including two consecutive in #17/21 New Hampshire and #15/17 Delaware. The upset over #16/17 Villanova is the other.
Up next, the Spiders host William & Mary as both teams fight for a CAA championship in the Capital Cup presented by C&F Bank in "The Oldest Rivalry in the South". Game time is set for noon.
