11/07/2022 | Football
The Spiders (7-2, 5-1 CAA) lead the nation in completion percentage at .762 thanks to graduate quarterback Reece Udinski (North Wales, Pa.) who is first in completions per game (29.89) second in NCAA FCS in completion percentage (269-353, .764) and 10th in total offense. He's led the Spiders to the best passing offense in the CAA with 290.2 yards per game.
Udinski's main target, redshirt sophomore Jasiah Williams (Petersburg, Va.), is tied for fourth in NCAA FCS and leads the Colonial Athletic Association with 7.7 receptions per game.
The Spiders are third in the country in punt return defense, holding opponents to -0.67 return yards on the season. They are seventh in fewest penalties (36), fewest penalties per game (4.00) as well as total first downs (228) and are ranked 10th in third down conversion defense (.477).
Richmond has scored 40+ points on three occasions this season, something it hasn't done since the 2015 season when pulled off the feat four times en route to a trip to the FCS semifinals.
The Spiders travel to No. 15/17 Delaware Saturday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Delaware Stadium.
