PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Richmond men's tennis team opened up Atlantic 10 play with the first of two matches in Philadelphia this weekend. The Spiders (7-7, 0-1 A-10) fell 6-1 to Saint Joseph's (7-2, 1-0 A-10) Friday afternoon at the SJU Tennis Complex.

John Walsh and Campbell Erwin took their fifth straight doubles match, winning 6-3 on court two to improve to 9-3 overall as a pair this season.

Erwin also picked up Richmond's lone singles win of the day, winning 6-4, 7-5 on court four to improve to 6-6 overall in singles action this season.

The Spiders have a quick turnaround as they face Fordham in Philadelphia Saturday at noon.
